Punta Manara Hike, Sestri Levante

A sea hike! let’s discover the tiny colorful town of Sestri Levante, on the eastern ligurian riviera. From its narrow cobbled streets we will begin to gain height and
finally be surrounded by the Mediterranean bush, while the blue sea will appear at our side, below us. This panoramic hike will bring us to Punta Manara, a mag-
nificent overview point, perfect for our picnic (we will find some amazing focaccia in the town). after our way back on a different path, we will enjoy a swim in the romantic Baia del Silenzio, right in the historic center
of Sestri.

Difficulty: easy; ascent: 200 m; descent: 200 m; walking time (excluding stops): 3 hrs; 7km
Equipment: daily backpack, trekking boots and socks
or good running shoes, trekking poles (if you use
them), comfortable clothes, rain jacket, swimsuit and
towel, 1-liter bottle of water (canteen), identity card
Suggested departure time: 7:45 am meeting point
at Milano Centrale railway station, at the front of the
platform of iC 657 train headed to la spezia Centrale.
7:55 am train to sestri levante (arr. 10:37 am).
Suggested return time: 5:25 pm iC train 680 from
sestri levante to Milano Centrale (arr. 8:05 pm).
