Join us for a pleasant circular hike through the woods on the mountains above Lecco until Colle di Sogno, where we will have lunch at a local rustic restaurant. Colle di Sogno (dream hill) is one of the most beautiful mountain hamlets of the Prealpi Lombarde, where the bond between man and landscape has produced a jewel of stone and wood.
Meeting time and point: 8:05 am at Milano Porta Garibaldi train station, in front of Feltrinelli bookshop.
At 8:22am, train to Calolziocorte-Olginate (arr. 9:12am).
At 9:52am, bus D142 to Carenno (arr. 10:22am).
Hike: Carenno (620 m), Colle di Sogno (975 m), Carenno Lunch at Locanda Colle di Sogno
Difficulty: easy/medium ascent: 350 m descent: 350 m minimum altitude: 620 m, maximum altitude: 975 m walking time (excluding stops): 3 hrs. 7 km
To come back: 4:10pm bus from Carenno to Calolziocorte-Olginate (arr. 4:35pm). At 4:46pm, train to Milano Porta Garibaldi (arr. 5:38pm).
Equipment: daily backpack, hiking boots or good running shoes, trekking poles (if you use them), comfortable clothes in layers, rain jacket, 1 liter bottle of water (canteen), identity card
Cost: €25 (includes insurance, does not include train, bus tickets or lunch) minimum 7 participants
Ticket costs: Milano-Calolziocorte train €5.20 each way, bus €2.20 each way
